This is grandmother's cooking in a very literal way. Simple Greek classics from grills to salads to cheese-stuffed meats have been served with the same simple expertise for decades in this tiny checked-tablecloth taverna above the Roman Forum. Kyria Giannoula's sons run the taverna now, but her cooking wisdom has been well preserved.
