A marvellously mixed crowd plies this unpretentious waterfront bar, named after the gulf that forms the view. The chequerboard-tiled interior embraces cheeky vintage flourishes to create an effect somewhere between Happy Days and the Arabian Nights. An electronic soundtrack, sometimes provided by visiting DJs, intoxicates as much as the cocktails do.
