Taverna Margarita

Peloponnese

This casual, ultratypical, family-run taverna in the quaint village of Zatouna is a far cry from the tourist haunts of nearby Dimitsana. The pine decor and souvenir paraphernalia look like they've been there since time immemorial. Don't expect silver service, but do expect some genuine kitchen cooking. It's known for its pita (pie), filled with fresh mountain horta (greens).
