Once a hamlet whose olives supplied nearby Moni Arkadiou, this village has now been entirely converted into charming, stylish villas. The 12 original and 10 new rooms offer ultracomfy beds, fireplaces and view-filled verandas. The ambience is peaceful, there's a sparkling pool, and the restaurant serves expertly prepared organic meals.
The olive mill closed in 1955, leaving the village abandoned until its architect owner acquired the site in the 1970s to embark on this ambitious project. There's a museum inside the original factory with displays of olive presses and other agricultural items.
