Bitters Bar

Iraklio

The indisputable frontrunner of Iraklio's mixology scene is this den of Prohibition-inspired decadence centred on a retail alcove just off Lion Sq. Throwback cocktails dominate the classics on the list, but let the bartenders shine with creations such as Bitters House (gin, ginger syrup, pink-grapefruit and lemon juice, cardamom bitters) and Attaboy (vodka, mango puree, lemon juice, aromatic bitters).

Drinks aren't cheap (€8 to €12) but are served with snacks (peanuts, tortilla chips, seasonal fruits). DJs maintain the lounge vibe most nights. If you're so inclined after a few, there's a popular souvlaki grill house right next door!
