Cavalieri Hotel

One of the oldest hotels in town, this magnificent period building is in a hard-to-beat location overlooking the lush trees of the Spianada, but only the pricier, light-filled 'superior' rooms at the front and the rooftop bar benefit from the views. Standard rooms are plain and unexceptional.
