Swathes of polished marble greet you both in the lobby and rooms of the Hilton, occupying an iconic 1963 modernist building that's worth a look in its own right for its clean lines and facade relief mural by Yiannis Moralis, inspired by Greek themes. Rooms are spacious, many with splendid views, and there are plenty of facilities.
The 25m outdoor swimming pool (May-early October), one of the largest of any central Athens hotel, is open to the general public for around €40 a day.
