Auntie Muni Waakye

Waakye (a mix of beans and rice served with spaghetti, meat or fish stew, boiled eggs and lots of hot shito pepper sauce) is Ghana’s most popular street food, and Auntie Muni is Ghana’s most famous seller. Former presidents, football stars and expats are seen patiently queuing up with the city's other residents every Saturday and Sunday to get a taste of her feel-good food.
