One of Europe's oldest coffeehouses, this cosy multifloor warren has been going since 1720. It's an atmospheric, if rather touristy, spot to try the famous local treat called Leipziger Lerche (lark) – a marzipan-filled shortcrust pastry. Other mouth-watering cakes, light meals (mains €8 to €18) and alcohol are also available. The small, free 'museum' has over 500 coffee-related objects.
