A recent makeover has brought this hotel bang up to date. Housed in a listed 15th-century building, the themed rooms zoom in on different places around Lake Constance, from the flowery exuberance of Insel Mainau to the rustic-cool, mountain-themed Pfänder. Regional and organic produce incuding pastries, eggs to order and fresh orange juice, appear at breakfast.
