Glowing with sepia-toned lamplight, the 12 Apostles has ground-floor and cellar dining rooms serving traditional German dishes: Matjes (herring) with sour cream, apple and fried onion; roast pork knuckle with pickled cabbage; Frankfurter schnitzel with Grüne Sosse (green sauce); and Käsespätzle (handmade cheese noodles with onions). It brews its own light and dark beers on the premises. Outside there's a tree-shaded terrace.
