This convivial spot occupies the landmark Dürkheimer Riesenfass, the world's largest wine barrel, which has had a restaurant inside since a master cooper built it out of 200 pine trees in 1934. Dishes range from Leberk Nödel (liver dumplings) to Jägerschnitzel (schnitzel with forest-mushroom sauce) and Zander (perch fillet) with Grüne Sosse (green sauce). There's a summer beer garden.
Small versions of adult dishes are available for kids.
