Five kilometres northwest of Omalo at the junction of the Pirikiti and Gomtsari Alazani valley roads, Mirgvela makes a good place to start or end a long walk or ride. It has a big grassy lawn enjoying great views, and 10 pine-panelled rooms, some with private bathroom, plus good meals. The adults speak Russian and the children speak English.
