AltiHut 3.14

Top choice in Stepantsminda

This fantastic addition to the accommodation options on the way to Mt Kazbek, 2018-opened AltiHut sits at 3014m, a 7km (2½-hour) trek from Tsiminda Sameba Church. Despite being 600m below Betlemi Hut, this is a comfortable, modern, clean and sustainable mountain shelter that makes a far more comfortable base for Kazbek ascents.

A good breakfast is included with each overnight stay, and lunch and dinner are also available, as is mountaineering equipment. Book ahead by email to arrange your stay. The hut is also open year-round, though guests need to bring their own sleeping bags with them from November to June.
