Sofia Melnikova's Fantastic Douqan

Tbilisi

This animated courtyard restaurant is a convivial and charming place for a meal on a summer evening, when it buzzes with just the right mix of locals and visitors. Choose between a table under the grapevine trellis, the trees of the yard or in the rather lovely dining room, and enjoy Sofia's eclectic menu combining Georgian and international dishes.

It's a little tricky to find and totally unsigned – look for the souvenir shop calling itself the Sarcho Museum on Tabukashvilis qucha and then walk up the small street going off from here, and the restaurant is in one of the courtyards on your left.
