This unlikely Polish-run hostel-hotel-restaurant is indeed an oasis of relaxation, musical performances, outdoor cinema and the occasional wild party. It can be found in the semi-abandoned village of Udabno (not to be confused with Udabno monastery), 14km before Davit Gareja on the road from Sagarejo. The restaurant is excellent, and it makes for a great lunch stop.
For sleeping, you have a choice between the 20-bed hostel or cosy wooden hotel rooms with private bathroom. Breakfast costs an extra 12 GEL. At the restaurant-bar (dishes 10 GEL to 15 GEL), cheerful staff serve good salads, soups, khachapuri and other dishes. The walking distance to Lavra cross-country is 8km, and Oasis can arrange for a horse and guide to take you there (100 GEL).
