Moana Nui

Nuku Hiva

All eight rooms are clean, well organised (air-con, a small balcony, private facilities, hot shower, daily cleaning) and utilitarian. Rooms 1 and 2 have good views of the bay and all are decorated in local fabrics and woven bamboo. The location doesn't get any more handy, right in the middle of the bay. The on-site restaurant is an added bonus.

Car rentals are available here and the staff will call and arrange tours, although no one here is going to hold your hand. Best for independent types.
