Taharuu Lodge

Around Tahiti Nui

This surfer haven occupies a colorful, breezy building amid gorgeous tropical gardens. Location is ace – Plage de Taharuu is just across the road. The eight rooms are spartan and overpriced considering they share a bathroom, but the views and cleanliness make this an OK choice just the same. The outside ablution block is in good shape and has hot-water showers.

There are surfboards (5000 CFP per day) and boogie boards (3000 CFP per day), a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering and a vast lounge area. There’s free fruit on offer and you’ll find several shops nearby. Breakfast is 1000 CFP.
