A social and pretty spot, this is one of the best budget options in the Society Islands. The owner speaks five languages, including perfect English, and happily dispenses his wealth of island information. Rooms are simple but clean and colourfully decorated, the dorms are spacious, and the bungalows sleep between four and six people and come with colourful Tahitian bedspreads, fridges, sinks and bathrooms. Adding to the laid-back ambience is the on-site bar and restaurant (as well as a communal kitchen), TV lounge, small pool and pontoon over the lagoon. Bike and kayak rental is available.
