Laid-back Les 3 Cascades has four spartan but clean rooms opening onto an airy communal area with a guest kitchen. The three free-standing bungalows offer more comfort and privacy. Meals can be prepared on request (breakfast 1200 CFP, dinner 3000 CFP) – a definite plus, especially given the lack of restaurants nearby.

No beach, but the owner can drop you off on Motu Iriru (2500 CFP per person return) and he also runs reputable boat tours to Taha’a (L’Excursion Bleue). Airport transfers are free for a minimum stay of two nights.
