This family-run, very old-school French place in Taravao on the Tautira road has continuously served some of the best French-style grilled meats and fish in the country for donkey's years. Environs are boozy, congenial and often a bit smokey if you sit by the door (ye olde French smokers have been pushed outdoors but not without a fight!).
The duck breast in pineapple or honey sauce, veal's head (for real, it's a house speciality) and catch of the day in a pastry shell and vanilla sauce are always excellent.
