This haven of peace is set in a coconut plantation facing the lagoon and a lovely hoa (small channel). The six bungalows are made with local materials and have private bathrooms (with hot water; two of the bathrooms, though private, are outside), fans and mosquito nets. Refined (but hardly copious) meals are served in a local-style fare (traditional-style house) by the lagoon.
The more expensive bungalows offer more privacy than the cheaper ones. Swimming, kayaking and snorkelling off the 140m-long pontoon are popular pastimes here, but there’s also a whole menu of worthwhile excursions on offer, as well as fishing trips. There's a green ethos: the lodge packs its rubbish to Pape’ete for proper disposal. Credit cards are accepted, and some English is spoken. No internet access.
