Côté Loire

Blois

This aptly named hotel, in a 15th- and 16th-century building facing the river, has eight spotless rooms decorated in subdued tones, some with 500-year-old beams and/or great Loire views. The restaurant (closed Sunday and Monday; lunch/dinner menus €23/33) serves French cuisine in a rustic dining room and, when it's warm, on a lovely terrace. No lift.
