Marseille’s cherished football team plays at Stade Vélodrome, which also hosts major concerts (in the Rolling Stones league). Built in 1937 to seat 35,000, it was enlarged to a 67,00-seater for the 2014 UEFA Championship. Occasional guided tours are available via the tourist office. It’s 4km or so south of the Vieux Port, along av du Prado.
