Café de Niozelles

Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

For just-like-mama-made-it French cuisine, it’s worth the 5km drive from Forcalquier to this unapologetically old-school bistro in Niozelles. You’ll need an appetite, and a taste for all the traditional trimmings, like offal, tripe and sheep trotters, but you won’t find a more authentic French meal in the Pays de Forcalquier.

It’s part of the Bistro du Pays scheme, which promotes rural restaurants across Provence; pick up a leaflet for further recommendations.
