Red Wheelbarrow

St-Germain & Les Invalides

Independent English-language bookshop the Red Wheelbarrow, an institution in Le Marais from 2001 to 2012, delighted its customers when it reopened near the Jardin du Luxembourg in 2018. Its children's section, with French and English titles, remains particularly strong; titles also span contemporary literature, poetry, history and politics. Events and readings take place outside shop hours; check the agenda online.
