Trattoria Libertino

Top choice in Montmartre & Northern Paris

In Italian 'Liibertino' means a pleasure-seeking, fun-loving gigolo and this is precisely the infectious vibe of this latest address by the brilliantly successful Big Mamma group. A riot of faux foliage, paintings and ceramics fills the flamboyant interior to bursting and the menu features all the Italian trattoria classics and Roman-style pizzas.

The artichoke salad, bruschetta topped with truffle shavings and the cacio e pepe (spaghetti with cheese and pepper) for two served in a parmesan crust bowl are all exceptional. Chefs in the open kitchen and waiting staff are Italian, and the desserts – lemon tiramisu, île flottante with caramelised popcorn – are gigantesque, utterly decadent and not to be refused.
