The setting for the eponymous 1938 film starring Louis Jouvet and Arletty, this vintage cafe-bar's interior feels as if it was stuck in a time warp with its zinc counter, 1905 coffee percolator, tiled walls, red velvet curtains and old piano. The terrace faces the canal, making it an ideal spot for watching the canal's vintage road bridge swing open to let boats pass.
Excellent bistro fare, too.
