One of three Marais hostels run by the Maison Internationale de la Jeunesse et des Étudiants, 125-bed Fauconnier welcomes guests with clean rooms in a splendid historic hôtel particulier (private mansion), footsteps from the Seine. Rooms (closed noon to 3pm) have a shower but share toilets in the corridor. Rates include breakfast.

Curfew is from 1am to 7am. No alcohol allowed.
