Cédric Grolet Opéra

Top choice in Paris

Palace hotel Le Meurice's executive pastry chef, wunderkind Cédric Grolet, opened his own boulangerie-pâtisserie in 2019. Viennoiseries including pains au chocolat are sold from 8.30am to 11.30am, and filled still-warm baguettes (one vegetarian, one meat) from noon to 2pm. From 2.30pm to 6.30pm, order signature pastries, such as caramel-and-Tahitian-vanilla St-Honoré, to take away or dine upstairs in the herringbone-floored tearoom.

Only a limited number of pastries and sandwiches are available per service, so arrive early, as queues form down the street.
