Café Dessiné

Rouen

Tucked away along rue Damiette, this comfy, individual cafe hits all the right notes with low-slung deco-style leatherette armchairs and sofas, cartoons on its walls and an unobtrusive background of hip music. It's a great choice to rest your legs, sink a smoothie, a fruit juice or a latte, but there's also beer on tap and bottled Belgian beers.

For snacks, there's gaufres (waffles) and cookies. The cafe also has a large stock of graphic novels.
