With conical turrets and walled gardens overlooking La Malène’s old stone bridge, this 13th-century manor is surprisingly great value. Some of the charmingly old-fashioned rooms have been modernised and most have views. A self-contained apartment is in a nearby house. The attached restaurant (menus from €17), complete with a plane tree-shaded terrace, serves excellent food.
