Le Mas Tourteron

The Luberon

Another one of the Luberon's long-standing tables, overseen by bubbly Elisabeth Bourgeois, it's heavy on Provençal flavours: lots of stuffed aubergines, slow-roasted tomatoes and lashings of olive oil and herbes de Provence. The garden setting is lovely, and Elisabeth's husband Philippe handles wine choices. It's 3.5km south of Gordes off the D2.
