If you’ve the urge – and the budget – to stay in Porto-Vecchio itself, there’s no better option than this cream-coloured waterfront hotel, arrayed around verdant lawns and its own little artificial beach 1km below the old town, and 500m from the harbour. Most of the light-filled rooms have great views, and there’s a good restaurant.
