Familia

Bordeaux

Named after the cinema that animated the 'hood in the 1920s, Familia is a large, light-flooded eatery across the street from Bordeaux's La Cité du Vin. Snack on casual, tapas-style bites served in small glass conserve jars at Le Comptoir ('The Counter') and a meatier market cuisine at meal times in its Brasserie.

The cafe pavement terrace has bags of alfresco seating overlooking the water and crane-specked industrial scape of the Bassin à Flot.
