Sulkavan Oravanpesät

At the halfway point of the Oravareitti (Squirrel Route), close to the 2km-long Kaitajärvi, is this friendly campground. It offers tent sites and six log cabins with shared bathroom and cooking facilities. There's also a much-appreciated smoke sauna. These folk can also hire canoes, kayaks and fishing gear, and arrange transport along the route. Meals can be pre-organised.
