Tampere Ice Stadium

Tampere's two ice-hockey teams – Ilves and Tappara – are among Finland's best; the city is generally regarded as the Finnish home of the sport. Hakametsä Ice Stadium, 2km east of the train station, has matches from September to March. Buy tickets (around €15 to €35) here or from www.lippupalvelu.fi (Tappara) or www.lippu.fi (Ilves). Eastbound buses 5, 20 or 24 (€3) will get you there.
