Activities operator Harriniva offers a wide range of accommodation. Hotel rooms are simple but attractively done out in wood and have plenty of space; some have their own sauna. There are also cabins and tent sites by the river and, best of all, state-of-the-art perspex glamping domes for aurora-watching; these have their own open fireplaces.
The wood-panelled, evening-only restaurant (mains €21 to €22.50), serving Lappish specialities, is the best place to eat in the Muonio area.
