Nanuya Island Resort

Yasawa Group

A short walk from the azure waters of the Blue Lagoon, this swish spot is the epitome of holiday indulgence and serenity (no kids under seven). The new Australian owners have given the romantic resort a makeover, with the addition of a luxurious honeymoon villa, four thatched-roof 'superior' villas (with spas and sundecks) and 24-hour solar power.

The cosy treetop villas that overlook the lagoon are rightfully popular (book far ahead), but beware: the path up to them is very steep.

The Boathouse at Nanuya complex is attached to the resort and is aimed at visiting yachties and island-hoppers looking for cheaper accommodation. Moorings, a general store, and a bar are all planned.
