Blue Lagoon Beach Resort

Top choice in Yasawa Group

Blue Lagoon ticks all the right boxes: its beach is gorgeous, the staff is friendly but unobtrusive, and while it’s small enough to be low-key, it's big enough (about 100 guests when full) to have a bit of buzz. It caters for all budgets in a compatible way; bures are stylish (the beachfront digs are divine) and the two eight-bed, air-conditioned dorms are sparkling.

Excellent, ever-changing meals (daily plans adult/child $99/67) are served in the sand-floored restaurant/bar with bean bags, lounges and hammocks over the water: parents praise the 5.30pm dinnertime for kids. There's also a very good kids club.

Their Vertical Blue dive shop caters to guests and those staying at nearby resorts.
