Wananavu has an indoor and outdoor restaurant (mains $16 to $40) with gorgeous views out over the beautiful pool area and across to Nananu-i-Ra island. All the bure have timber floors, panelled walls, air-con and their own small decks. They are surrounded by pretty palm- and bougainvillea-filled gardens. Garden bure prices rise as you head down the hill towards the water and, towards the romantic honeymoon accommodation.
The beach here is entirely artificially created and although the landscapers have done an excellent job, with strategically placed palm trees perfect for slinging a hammock between, most guests end up swimming in the pool. The resort holds regular and fascinating talks to introduce guests to the region's plants and wildlife. Dive Wananavu is based at the resort, and is one of only two dive operators on Viti Levu with nitrox facilities.
