This friendly place has a selection of ageing bures with wooden verandahs, hot-water bathrooms and fans: some have kitchenettes. It's built on a subdivided copra estate, and owned by the Petersen family, which once ran the plantation. The resort is a 20-minute walk southeast of Matei airport, past the Sun City Supermarket. The attached Vunibokoi Restaurant (mains $15 to $20) does superb Fijian food.
