Mana Lagoon Backpackers

Mamanuca Group

Owned and run by locals, this endearingly ramshackle place feels more like a village homestay than a typical backpackers. Unlike the larger resorts, there's a charming family feel here, and the thatched-roof beach shelters and sandy-floored restaurant/bar define 'mellow island holiday'. Rooms are basic and electricity is sporadic; you'll be too busy snorkelling (free) and taking part in organised activities to notice.
