One of the oldest and largest (at 121 hectares) island resorts in Fiji, the 152 rooms, suites and bures span the spacious, beautifully landscaped low-lying grounds between the north and south beaches. Mana caters for everyone – couples, honeymooners and families – the latter dominating during Australian and New Zealand school holidays. Extensive renovation work in mid-2015 hadn't stopped a near-constant flow of guests.
Celebrity chef Lance Seeto is in charge of the two beautiful indoor/outdoor restaurants, though some guests amble down the beach to sample the eats at the hostels. The resort also has a kids club (ages three-12; $25 one-off fee) and a creche ($5 per hour).
Diving here is run by Aqua-Trek Mana.
