Leleuvia Island Resort

Top choice in Ovalau & the Lomaiviti Group

Leleuvia Island Resort is a decent choice for couples looking for comfort and a fantastic choice for families thanks to the sandy bottom and shallow swimming at the island’s point. Thatched bures here are basic but classy with views of the sea and trade winds pouring through for natural ventilation.

A large, open, sand-floored bar and restaurant area serves cold beer and tasty meals, and at the resort’s ‘entrance’ is a gorgeous wide stretch of beach with sun loungers and kayaks. There's even an art gallery. The staff put on all kinds of entertainment (such as kava drinking and beach bonfires). While the snorkelling is not on a par with Caqalai, it is still excellent and you can hire equipment. Village trips, diving and fishing excursions are also possible. Leleuvia is popular with the weekend crowd from Suva, so advance booking is recommended. Boat transfers from the mainland are from Waidalice Landing, a 90-minute bus ride from Suva.
