Dorze’s original lodge is set in an attractive family compound in Hayzo village, making it ideal for those looking for cultural immersion. The 15 huts are arranged around a central courtyard that doubles as the restaurant (dinner buffet Birr100). Huts share rudimentary external bathrooms. Mekonen offers 4WD hire (US$150 per day including fuel).
