The mosaic-paved, stained-glass-roofed Victoria Quarter shopping arcade, between Briggate and Vicar Lane, is well worth visiting for aesthetic reasons alone, as is County Arcade, which runs parallel. Dedicated shoppers can join the footballers' wives browsing boutiques such as Louis Vuitton and Vivienne Westwood. The flagship store here is Harvey Nichols.
