This cosy, old-style, whitewashed Portscatho pub dates from the 18th century and is all the better for it: expect worn wood, swirly carpets, plenty of locals and no-frills food (mains £9 to £14). It's owned by St Austell Brewery, so Tribute and Proper Job are on tap.
