Rosevine

South Cornwall

This country house just uphill from Porthcurnick Beach has two-person studios and family apartments, all self-contained (with mini-kitchenettes) and named after local beauty spots; some also have little patio gardens and are dog-friendly. It's very stylish, and the kids are superbly well-catered for, with playhouses, trampolines and climbing frames, plus a heated indoor pool. Highly recommended if you're en famille.
