The Meadows

Top choice in South Cornwall

This campsite halfway between St Austell and Mevagissey is for grown-ups only, so you'll be spared any early-morning wake-up calls from marauding kids. A stream runs along one side, and there's a choice of hardstanding pitches with hook-ups, a main camping field or a more secluded wildflower meadow. It's vintage glamping: fire-pits, bunting and BBQs are very much encouraged.

Local food trucks turn up regularly, serving wood-fired pizza, fish and chips and breakfast butties.
